Random Heroes:

Betsy Aucoin
Teacher, Taylor Elementary School, Foxboro.
Jane Rice
Taylor Elementary School, Foxboro.

On Monday, June 4th Random Smile Project visited the Taylor School in Foxboro, to honor two women who work at the elementary school. Principal Kay Naylor called a 'special, surprise assembly' of all the kids and teachers, and then Paul Molla announced that Teacher Betsy Aucoin and cafeteria worker Jane Rice would be honored by Random Smile for their dedication and commitment to all the kids at Taylor. Teacher Betsy Aucoin gives generously of her own time to all her students, above and beyond what would be expected. Jane Rice, who is deaf and teaches sign language, is retiring this year after many years of service to both the school and the kids.

Both outstanding women received several gift certificates from Random Smile, and as part of our “playground initiative”,, several dozen playground balls, as well as board games, were donated to the school in their names.

Random Smile Project is currently accepting any and all donated auction items for their annual fund raiser. For much more information on donating, click here, or to find out how you can nominate an outstanding member of our community please nominate someone here.
